What is ” NINJA WiFi “?

One of the issues when you are travelling Japan is, lack of Free Wi-Fi. Free Wi-Fi is only available at airports, hotels, restaurants or some specific locations and this let foreign visitors feel inconvenient.

By using a Wi-Fi router rental service “NINJA WiFi”, you can enjoy free wireless internet access anywhere in Japan.



Simple Flat Rate & Huge Date Allowance
NINJA WiFi is priced at 900 JPY/day plus tax. Our simple flat rate pricing is easy to understand and you can use the internet without worrying about data or other hidden charges. Our data rate limit is up to 1GB per day during this limited period. (Regularly at 300MB/day). Even data hoggers can enjoy without fears.


Stay Connected Anytime and Anywhere
In Japan, free WiFi networks are only available in major train stations or airports. When you’re on the move, you can’t really use the internet freely. With NINJA WiFi, you’re connected to the internet anytime and anywhere in Japan.

Extending Service Period
You can choose to extend your service period at 900 yen plus tax per day only if you request your extension at least one day before the end of your service period. However, if you continue to use the WiFi router without requesting an extension, you will be charged 1,470 yen plus tax per day for extended use.



Step 1: Reservation
We accept reservation 24 hours a day 7 days a week on our website. When in doubt, use “Contact Us” to reach our customer service.


Step 2: Pick-up
You can choose to pick up your WiFi router at airport counters or by delivery services. Please note that airport counters and delivery services have different reservation cut-off time. Please reserve as soon as possible.


Step 3: Enjoy the Internet
You can start enjoying the internet as soon as you get your device as it always comes fully charged and ready to go.


Step 4: Return
You can choose to return your WiFi router at airport counters or by delivery services. If you choose the latter, a shipping slip will be included in your device kit. This shipping slip can be used in most convenience stores and all Yamato Transport counters throughout Japan.


Step 5: Payment
We accept payment by credit cards only. Depending on your card issuer, the payment date can be a little early or late.

If you would like to pick up your WiFi router at one of the following airport counters, please complete your reservation before the cut-off time. We do not accept last-minute reservations.

Pick-up or Return by Delivery Services

Your WiFi Router can be delivered to any Japanese address. You can pick a specific date and time period for delivery to fit your schedule.
※Attention: TO pick-up by Delivery Service,you must compete your reservation 3 days before your pick-up date by 3pm.



Optional Insurance Service
With our optional insurance services, you are covered if you accidentally damaged or lost your WiFi router. Normally, if your equipments are lost or damaged, you are responsible to pay up to 55,323 yen (*) in damages. We understand accidents do happen from time to time. Therefore we are offering two tiers of insurance services to have you covered. For our mini plan, you are only responsible for 20% of the retail value. Full plan, as its name indicates, covers everything. You do not need to pay for anything for a damaged or lost device*.
*Report of loss is required for loss of device.



Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: I want to pick up my WiFi router today/tomorrow. Can I reserve now?
A1: To receive WiFi routers at below airports, please complete your order by 3pm one day before the departure. ・Narita Airport Terminal 1& 2 ・Haneda International Airport ・Kansai Int.l Airport Terminal 1
Q2: Where should I go to return my WiFi router by delivery service?
A2: You can return your WiFi router at almost all convenience stores and all Yamato Transport stores/counters. We strongly recommend using the shipping slip included in our router kit to return your device. Alternatively, you can choose to use other delivery service providers such as Sagawa Kyubin or Yu-Pack that records shipping date to return your WiFi router.
Q3: My phone/tablet/PC is purchased outside of Japan. Can I use it with NINJA WiFi router?
A3: As long as your phone/tablet/PC supports WiFi. You should be able to use NINJA WiFi router without issue.
Q4: Can I return my WiFi router at a different airport or return my device using a method that is different from the way I picked up my device?
A4: Of course. You can pick up using one method and return using another.

Malfunctioning/Broken Devices

  • We offer free replacement WiFi routers if your WiFi router is not working as intended.
  • If your device is broken for any reason, please return all its parts.
  • If any parts are missing from your WiFi router, it is treated as complete loss.
  • If you lose the device and did not enroll in any insurance plans. You will be required to pay for the damages.

Important Notices

  • If you would like to cancel your reservation, please contact our customer service center.
  • Your order may not be able to be fufilled due to inventory conditions.
  • At NINJA WiFi, your credit card is charged at the moment you complete your reservation.
    If you cancel your order 3 days before your service start date, you will be refunded as soon as possible.
    If you make changes to your order before your service start date, your adjustment charges/refunds will be done
    on the start date or return date. Therefore, you may see 2-3 separate charges/refunds from us.
